3/4/09: In promoting family learning and helping to raise standards of attainment, Dover Extended Schools has subscribed to the Britannica Online School Edition on behalf of all schools in the Dover Partnership for a period of two years.
Britannica Online contains 3 age-appropriate databases: Primary; especially simplified for primary school children to help establish basic research skills, Student; for those studying in secondary school or sixth form to build confidence in research, and Encyclopedia; the full version, for teachers A-level students and above. There is also a colourful activity area for early learners called 'Britannica Learning Zone' with lots of games and puzzle. Links to the sites are here:
