Illuminated Lettering

The person running this class was Mr Bailey. In medieval times monks would write and illustrate books using elaborate lettering with colourful paints and gold leaves. The margins of the bibles were also decorated with pictures of nature i.e. bird and flowers.

The students in this class are painting and colouring in large capital letters with gel pens, glitter paint and colourful cut out bits of card to produce illuminations.
